wiring and / or clock spring in steering wheel. Did you have the steering wheel
off latley or did you remove battery. i would also look for the ground junction
point (usually under battery) and clean this extremely well.

There was a blown fuse in the fuse box.

Normally the airbag warning light switches on when you switch on the
ignition, 1-2 seconds later it goes off. In case of an error it's on,
then switches off and comes on again. My guess is your's doesn't switch
off in between.
Check the wiring between airbag control unit and instrument cluster.
