Mota da Ferrari???

The beauty of a model kit is that it allows you to build it any way you want. For Andy Leonard, a member of the Scale Auto Magazine forums, that consisted of fabricating his idea of a Ferrari-built motorcycle.

Starting with a Tamiya 1/12 scale Yamaha kit, a host of Ferrari cues were added to the two-wheeler, letting it somewhat resemble something that belonged in the Scuderia. Obviously, the striping and logos are pulled from the FXX supercar, but we especially love the powder-coated Ferrari cylinder head on the four-banger motor, the Pininfarina emblems on the rear splash guard and the embossed prancing horse on the leather seat cushion.

Overall, it’s a clean - and superbly detailed - build. Certainly, it’s a flight of fancy - and a Ducati may be a better starting point for the Italian heritage - , but with Schumacher possibly taking to a MotoGP circuit in the near future, would this not be a fitting ride?
